Hi u2. Been away for some time but caught up with your blog tonight. Great stuff and some lovely pics, some not quite so lovely. I’ve even got Rit reading your news and she sends her love.
When you get to the ‘Leeds & Liverpool and Lancaster Canals’ I have a very detailed guide issued by ‘British Waterways (price 3 pounds!!!) so will be able to follow your every move, so to speak.

Hello U John and A Rita. I think your Leeds & Liverpool and Lancaster guide would still be considsered perefctly saleable by most of the boat yards we’ve visited. Will hit them late 2014! Back to Aston to see Sar, Dan and girls then heading up back up through the Harecastle tunnel, on up the Trent and Mersey then onto the Llangollen canal, followed by Montgomery to Brithdar lock and back up to the Shropshire union for Christmas in Chester – hopefully. That’s as far as out plans go! Hope you are both well, come and get A.Rita onboard when we’re closer! xxxxx

  2. I’m quite happy for you to borrow a few maps from my website but please adopt the usual courtesy of crediting the source to http://www.waterwayroutes.co.uk, preferably as a working hyperlink.

And please say hello if you see us – you seem to be very close to our home mooring in Sherborne Wharf.

Thanks. Happy to give you a link but have no idea which maps are yours. Apologies to anyone else who might be offended – I just googled maps.

  3. The Llangollen, Caldon and Trent & Mersey maps are mine. The correct three pages to link to from the maps are (in that order)
    http://www.waterwayroutes.co.uk/wr/dvds-llangollen-canal.html
    http://www.waterwayroutes.co.uk/wr/maps-caldon.html
    http://www.waterwayroutes.co.uk/wr/maps-tam.html

Have you tried my maps and DVDs to see how good they are? You can try the free Droitwich Canals maps to start with at http://www.waterwayroutes.co.uk/wr/maps-droit.html
